Screen Printing
Screen Printing involves creating a stencil, known as a screen, and then using that screen to apply ink on the printing surface. Each individual color is applied using a different screen, one at a time, combined to achieve the final look. The more colors a design has, the more screens that are needed, and the more setup time required.
In some situations, the heat press method is a better option. A heat press is a machine created to imprint a design on a garment, with the application of heat and pressure for a preset period of time. Individual designs are pre-cut out of vinyl and pressed on the garment. This is an excellent option for low quantity orders that have a simple, minimal color design. It also works well for individual names or numbers required on garments.

Type of GarmentFor almost every product type, there are inexpensive, mid-range, and high-end options.

Quantity OrderedDue to the setup involved in screen printing, the more shirts you order, the lower your price will be. When lower quantities are required, heat press becomes a more economical option. Also note, that later ‘Add-Ons’ to your order may not be guaranteed at the initial price.
|
Number of LocationsEach location requires new setup and runs for your printing. A front print only will always be cheaper than a front and back print – even if a total of 2 colors we used – the more locations printed, the higher the cost.
|
Number of Colors
The number of colors in each design affects the run time and setup for each location. A one color print will be less expensive than a three color print. This is true for both screen printing and heat press options.
|
Turnaround Time
Orders are produced on-demand for your due date. Garments needed in a few days from your order placement date will be more expensive than those needed in a few weeks. This is determined by shipping costs for supplies, as well as the current production schedule and the additional hours/overtime required.
